Terms of Service

1. Service Description

LeaseLens ("we," "us," "our") provides automated commercial lease analysis using artificial intelligence. You upload a lease PDF, pay, and we email you a review: a verdict, the changes to make ranked by dollars at stake with suggested replacement language, a separate “Requested lease changes” PDF, and a summary of key terms and dates.

2. Not Legal Advice

LeaseLens is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Our reports are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal counsel, legal opinions, or attorney-client communications. No attorney-client relationship is formed by using this service.

Before signing any commercial lease, you should consult a licensed real estate attorney in your jurisdiction. Our reports are intended to help you understand your lease more clearly — they are not a substitute for professional legal review.

3. Accuracy Disclaimer

Our analysis is generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. Lease language is complex and context-dependent. We make no warranty that our reports are complete, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose. You use our reports at your own risk.

4. Reprocessing Guarantee

If your report misses a material term clearly present in the lease, we reprocess at no charge. This covers a standard lease provision that is clearly present in your lease document but was missed or materially mischaracterized — not implied terms, negotiation positions, or jurisdiction-specific interpretations. 5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LeaseLens's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the service — including any errors or omissions in your report — is limited to the amount you paid for the report in question. In no event will we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

6. Payment and Refunds

Payment is processed securely by Stripe; we never see your card number. Your review runs after payment and usually arrives in 2–3 minutes (up to 5 for very long leases). Once a report has been delivered to your email, we do not offer refunds, except as described in Section 4. If you have not received your report within 30 minutes of payment, contact us at hello@leaselens.org and we will complete or reprocess your analysis at no charge.

7. Data Privacy

Your lease PDF is processed to extract its text (scanned PDFs may be sent to our own OCR server for this). The extracted text and any notes you type are sent to our AI provider for analysis; under its commercial API terms, inputs are not used to train models and are retained only for a limited period (currently up to 30 days) before deletion. We do not keep your uploaded file after the report is generated, except that if the automated review fails, your lease is emailed to the LeaseLens team so the report can be completed manually. Your review is emailed to you.

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that run LeaseLens: Stripe (payments; we never see card numbers), an AI provider (analysis), Resend (email delivery), Vercel (hosting), and PostHog and Google Analytics (site analytics, which use cookies). By uploading your lease, you represent that you have the right to share that document with us for analysis.

8. Acceptable Use

You may only submit leases for which you are a party, a representative of a party, or have explicit authorization to analyze. You may not use LeaseLens to process documents in bulk for resale without a separate written agreement.

9. Intellectual Property

The LeaseLens report template, analysis framework, and website content are our intellectual property. You may use your individual report for your own business purposes. You may not reproduce or resell our report format without permission.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new effective date.
